About Dream Harbor

Strategy, design and technology for businesses that want to grow on solid ground.

Dream Harbor builds the digital side of small and medium-sized businesses, from the website people see first to the systems that keep the place running. We start from how each business actually works, never from the tool. Today it's a small studio led by its founder, set up to grow as the work does.

Why we exist

Behind every business, there's a person.

Plenty of good businesses grow on the back of one person holding everything together. The owner answers customers, checks the spreadsheets, remembers what everyone else forgot and makes decisions with whatever they can see at the time. The business works, but it takes a lot out of the person in the middle of it.

Dream Harbor exists to take away the part of that which shouldn't depend on anyone. Not to take owners out of their own business, because they need to be there, but so their time goes on direction, decisions and people rather than on work a system would do better.

How we think about technology

Eight beliefs that guide every project

  1. Technology has to earn its place.

If it doesn't make the work easier for the people using it, it doesn't matter how clever it is.

  2. Automating something isn't washing your hands of it.

Every automation has someone answerable for it, and a failure must never go quiet.

  3. Clarity beats volume.

Three right figures change more decisions than a dashboard with a hundred.

  4. Not everything needs AI.

Sometimes a simple rule works better, costs less and throws up fewer surprises.

  5. Not everything needs building.

When an off-the-shelf tool does the job, that's what we'll recommend.

  6. Good software fades into the routine.

Nobody should have to think about it to get on with their work.

  7. Technical complexity is our problem, not yours.

The difficult bit stays on our side of the screen.

  8. Owners should understand their business better afterwards.

If they come out of a project seeing less, we've got something wrong.

How we work

First we understand. Then we design. Only then do we automate.

Every project follows the same route. An assessment to understand and prioritise, the build to make and connect things, and ongoing support afterwards for clients who want it. Behind the scenes, the studio runs on DreamOS, our own operating system.

What we're building

Client work today, our own tools alongside

Most of what we do is made-to-measure work for clients, and that stays at the heart of it. Whatever repeats from one project to the next becomes a tool, and some of those tools are on their way to becoming products. That's how a service business slowly builds something that doesn't rely on hours alone.

How we think a project through

From how things really work to steady improvement, without skipping a step.

  1. Real process

    How the work really happens

  2. Friction

Where there's repetition, waiting or information all over the place

  3. Structure

What to build, connect or leave well alone

  4. Build

Software, automation and integrations in use

  5. Figures

    What changed, measured

  6. Decision

A clearer picture for whoever decides

  7. Improvement

    What repeats becomes an improvement

Who's answerable for the work

Eduardo Henrique

I didn't start Dream Harbor to sell technology. I started it because I know what it's like to want to change your life and not see the way forward. I used to be someone who moaned about things and waited for luck to turn up. One day I realised the responsibility was mine, took charge and started building.

I bring that same honesty to the work. Nobody is going to grow a business for its owner, and the owner needs to be there. What they don't need is to carry, on their own, everything that could be organised, connected or automated.

Every project goes through me, from the first assessment to what happens after it goes live. It isn't about impressing anyone with a pretty screen. It's about the business running better the following Monday.

Be strong and courageous.

Frequently asked questions

What does Dream Harbor do?

We bring together strategy, design and technology to give each business a proper online presence and the structure behind it. That means websites and landing pages, presence and positioning on Google and, when the business needs it, bespoke software, automation, dashboards and practical AI. We start by understanding how the business runs today, and only then decide what to build.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

Small and medium-sized businesses, mostly service businesses, that want to present themselves better and grow on solid ground. Size matters less than having a problem worth solving.

Do you always build from scratch?

No. Often the right answer is setting up or connecting a tool that already exists. We build when off-the-shelf software can't keep up with the business, or when a rule needs enforcing by the system rather than by memory.

Do I need to understand technology to work with you?

No. You explain how your business works and what you want from it. Turning that into a website, software, automation or data is our job, and every technical decision is explained in plain English.

Do you work with businesses in the UK?

Yes. The work is entirely remote, so distance isn't a barrier. We're based in Brazil, three hours behind the UK in winter and four in summer, so your afternoon is our morning.

How do we get started?

With a conversation. Tell us what you're working on, on WhatsApp or by email. A proposal only comes once we understand your situation, because no two businesses need quite the same thing.

Wondering whether we'd be a good fit?

Tell us what you're working on. A chat answers that question for both of us, before anyone writes a proposal.
